Trump: MAGA Hates Fox News

By John Fredericks

WASHINGTON, D.C.  President Donald Trump unleashed a blistering attack on Fox News Thursday after the network released a new poll showing mixed approval ratings for his border security policies.

The Fox survey reported that 53 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the border with Mexico, while 46 percent disapprove. On immigration as a whole, the poll found 46 percent approve of the president’s policies, while 53 percent disapprove.

Trump responded with a scathing Truth Social post targeting the network’s polling methods:

“The Crooked Fox-News Polls got the Election WRONG, I won by much more than they said I would, and they have been biased against me for years,” Trump wrote. “They are always wrong and negative. It’s why MAGA HATES Fox News, even though their anchors are GREAT.”

He continued: “Now a new Fox-News poll comes out this morning giving me a little more than 50% at the Border, and yet the Border is miraculously perfect, NOBODY WAS ABLE TO COME IN LAST MONTH. 60,000 people came in with Sleepy Joe in the same month last year. I hate FAKE pollsters, one of the Worst, but Fox will never change their discredited pollster!”

The Fox poll showed Trump’s lowest approval ratings are on the economy, where 40 percent approve and 58 percent disapprove. The survey was conducted June 13-16 among 1,003 registered U.S. voters with a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.

Border Releases Drop to Zero Under Trump

In Thursday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that U.S. border patrol agents did not release a single illegal immigrant into the country in May—a dramatic shift from the 62,000 illegal immigrant releases during the same month under the Biden administration.

Border agents apprehended 8,725 migrants attempting to cross illegally last month, representing a 93 percent decrease from May 2024, when 117,905 were caught, according to Leavitt.

The press secretary attributed the change to the Trump administration’s reversal of President Biden’s catch-and-release policies, which she said had allowed millions of illegal border crossers into the United States.

“Under Biden, our border patrol agents were turned into paper processors to let illegals in. Now they are protecting the border and stopping illegals from entering the country,” Leavitt said.

Paul Perez of the National Border Patrol Council told the New York Post that the policy shift has transformed operations: “Under the Biden administration, our agents were pulled off the line. We were doing all the processing, detaining, transporting and essentially baby-sitting, and the border was wide open. It was unsecured because we didn’t have enough agents on the line to actually protect and deter. So now we’ve got the complete opposite. All of our agents are actually patrolling the border for the first time in many, many years.”

Leavitt: Focus Shifts to Mass Deportations

Leavitt made it clear that the Trump administration’s focus would shift to mass deportations.

“We are committed to carrying out the largest mass deportation effort in history,” Leavitt promised. “Illegals who commit crimes are prioritized. Those who entered the country illegally drain resources away from hard-working Americans and lower wages for our workers.”

Trump To Iran: You’ve Got Two Weeks

Leavitt said she had just spoken to President Trump, who indicated he would give Iran two weeks to come to the negotiating table before making a decision on potential military action.

“President Trump just told me that based on the fact that there is a chance for negotiation, he’ll make a decision on a potential military strike in two weeks,” Leavitt said.

When pressed for specifics, Leavitt explained that President Trump had a negotiation offer that included no uranium enrichment and no chance of a nuclear warhead being developed. The Trump spokeswoman said she believed the potential negotiated settlement was workable and could be implemented within weeks if accepted.
