ICYMI: “DeSantis is in a Rut. His Trek to D.C. Didn’t Help.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis values being in control. Presidential candidate-in-waiting DeSantis is losing it.

As he trekked to the nation’s capital to demonstrate strength with the Washington establishment on Tuesday — and before he even set foot in the district — several members of his state’s congressional delegation announced support instead for former President Donald Trump’s White House comeback bid.

It was the latest indication of the early shine dulling on a candidate initially heralded by Republicans who don’t want Trump to be their party’s 2024 nominee — and more proof of Trump’s indictment bolstering his standing in the GOP field.

While the hearing’s purpose is ostensibly to discuss crime in New York under Bragg’s watch, Democrats have called it a “political stunt” and the latest salvo in Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) legal war with Bragg over the indictment of former President Donald Trump.

ICYMI: “Pro-DeSantis Consultant Named as Defendant in Nevada Fraud Lawsuit”

A nationally recognized Republican political consultant has been added as a defendant in a Nevada lawsuit alleging that he stole $2.2 million and defrauded a political action committee that had unsuccessfully tried to break up the Clark County School District.

Jeff Roe, founder of Axiom Strategies, one of the largest GOP campaign firms, was accused of fraud and breach of contract, among other charges, after one of his companies failed to gather at least 140,000 valid signatures to put the initiative before the Legislature in 2023.
