Trump Battles Coronavirus: All Hands On Deck

PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP IS SUPPORTING AMERICAN BUSINESSES, WORKERS, AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS

“We reached an agreement yesterday on a new legislative package that will provide strong support for American families and communities in dealing with the coronavirus.” – President Donald J. Trump…STRONG LEGISLATIVE ACTION: President Donald J. Trump is signing a legislative package that provides extensive assistance to Americans impacted by the coronavirus.

President Trump is supporting American families and communities:

  • Yesterday, President Trump signed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
  • This legislation provides strong economic assistance to American businesses, workers, and families that are experiencing financial burden due to the virus.
  • This critical legislation:
    • Establishes tax credits to provide paid sick and family leave for coronavirus-related employment interruptions.
      • Eligible workers who are sick with the virus, quarantined, taking care of someone affected or caring for a child whose school has closed, will continue to be paid.
      • Employees will receive pay directly from their employers, rather than from a less-efficient government-run program.
      • Every dollar of required paid leave will be offset by tax credits for eligible employers.
    • Incentivizes states to ease access to unemployment benefits.
    • Provides funding and flexibility for emergency nutritional aid for senior citizens, women, children, and low-income families.
    • Offers free coronavirus testing – including free testing through commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, Indian Health Service, and TRI-CARE.

President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force issued new guidelines to help protect Americans:

·       President Trump made clear that the following recommendations are easy to follow but will have a resounding impact on tackling the coronavirus outbreak:

o   Listen and follow the directions of your local and state authorities.

o   If you feel sick, stay home. Do not go to work. Contact your provider.

o   If your children are sick, keep them at home. Do not send them to school. Contact your medical provider.

o   If someone in your household has tested positive for the coronavirus, keep your entire household at home. Do not go to work. Do not go to school. Contact your medical provider.

o   If you are an older person, stay home and away from other people.

o   If you are a person with a serious underlying health condition that can put you at increased risk, stay home and away from other people.

o   Avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people.

o   Avoid eating or drinking at bars.

§  Order pickup or delivery instead.

o   Avoid discretionary travel.

o   Practice good hygiene.

Democrats and the liberal media are shamelessly politicizing the coronavirus outbreak:

·       Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren are acting as Chinese propagandists, parroting the Communist Party’s talking points:

·       Yesterday, Biden released a coronavirus-focused statement attacking “Trump’s misguided trade war with China.”

    • Additionally, Biden’s campaign advisor, Ron Klain, praised China’s authoritarian government for its response to the virus.
    • Biden sided with the Chinese and criticized President Trump for placing life-saving travel restrictions on China.
    • He also defended China against President Trump’s accurate statements that the coronavirus originated in China, countering Chinese misinformation.

·       Elizabeth Warren also attacked President Trump for criticizing the Chinese Government.

    • In her attack, she went so far as to censor the word “Chinese” from President Trump’s original tweet.
    • Elizabeth Warren is more concerned with offending the Chinese Government and attacking President Trump than working to end the coronavirus.

·       Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump’s travel restrictions on China and Europe.

·       Frequent CNN guest Rick Wilson posted a disgusting attack of First Lady Melania Trump on Twitter.

    • Wilson suggested that the First Lady should “#BeInfected” with coronavirus.
    • While the First Lady is addressing the important ways Americans can protect themselves and their loved ones from coronavirus, Rick Wilson and members of the mainstream media are engaging in hateful rhetoric.
